what is discipleship?

Over 30 years ago, Perimeter Church was birth as Randy Pope began leading adult discipleship groups. Just as Jesus deeply invested His life in a few disciples, Perimeter Discipleship emphasizes Life-on-Life relationships. These Life-on Life relationships are key to helping people see that God is a personal God who desires to have a relationship with His people.

Different than Sunday School Discipleship groups at Perimeter also emphasize the Life application of Biblical Truth (i.e. How does this apply to my life?).  Life application discovered in the context of relationship is what sets the Discipleship apart from the traditional Sunday School Model. Countless lives at our church and around the world have been (and continue to be) transformed through Life-on-Life Discipleship.

discipleship for kids:

At Perimeter, we are excited to bring Life-on-Life Discipleship to children!  1st-2nd Graders are the youngest people in our church to have this great opportunity!  Kids' Discipleship Groups consist of 5-7 children and an adult leader who meet together for an entire ministry year (September 11 - May 20) to discover who Jesus is and what is means to be His Disciple, or follower.

Parents' Role- Parent involvement is critical to a child enjoying the best discipleship experience possible. KIDS Town believe that parents are the chief disciplers of their children, and the church goes along side parents supporting them in their role. Children who get the most our of Discipleship are those who parents insure they have consistent attendance, review what was learned each Sunday using Parent Summaries provided by KIDS Town, help them learn Memory Verses and Books of the Bible, and build relationships with children's discipleship leaders. children who enroll in discipleship and their parents sign covenants.

For children who are not quite ready for Discipleship, we encourage them to attend KidsQuest in the KIDS Town Theater on Sundays at 9 AM and 10:45 AM.
