"For His Glory" is an audition selected group of dedicated dancers who express the desire and commitment to advance their classical ballet and pointe technique to the next level.
The primary focus of this group is to encourage each dancer to strive to reach her God-given potential while giving the glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dancers are trained in the ballet classics as well as contemporary forms of dance which are used in worship settings and outreach. Ballets which the Company has performed include Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia and excerpts from Four Seasons, La Fille Mal Gardee and a Christmas Advent production.
Sr. Company students will be comprised of dancers from the Ballet V level while Apprentices will be dancers from either the Ballet IV or Ballet V levels. Our Jr. Company is comprised of dancers from the Ballet IV level. Ballet III, IV, and V teachers will be involved in training and setting choreography for Company dancers, as well as occasional guest teachers and choreographers.
Sr. Company and Apprentice level students generally meet on Saturdays, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, throughout the school year. Time is spent in class as well as rehearsal where they learn and set pieces for upcoming performances. A devotional time is also included for their spiritual growth and focus. Jr. Company students meet approximately two Saturdays per month from September-December. Starting in January, they meet more often as they prepare for the Company March performance.
Auditions for our Company “For His Glory” are usually the 1st Saturday in May.
