Music

The School of Music provides training to students in a positive atmosphere. We appreciate that each student is unique and our instructors strive to meet students where they are. We offer group classes for young children to build a strong foundation and love of music in a fun environment. Our emphasis is to help children grow musically. Early Childhood Music and Fill in the Gap group classes will instruct students from infant to eight years of age preparing them for formal instrument lessons down the road.

We offer private instruction to children and adults. Our instructors are able to adapt to the needs of each student. For children, we provide a fun, but structured environment to nurture, develop and refine the student's skills. For adults, our instructors work in a collaborative environment to help students meet their personal goals in their musical journey. Our areas of study are piano, violin, vocal training, guitar (classical, acoustic, electric, and bass) and drums. We often offer referrals for students seeking training in other areas of musical study.

Private lessons range in price from $20-$30 and we have an annual registration fee of $25, billed each September that the student is actively enrolled in lessons. We do not require a contract and our first lesson is offered as a free trial to ensure that it is a good fit for student and instructor before moving forward. If you are interested in setting up a trial lesson, please email academy@perimeter.org to schedule.

The pleasure we feel in music springs from the obedience which is in it.
