Women's Bible Studies

Who Can Join?

We invite women of all ages and stages. You may be new to the Bible, a seasoned student of Scripture, or anywhere in-between. Perhaps you've attended church for decades, or maybe you've never set foot in a church. We welcome you all!

When Can I Join?

Many studies welcome women at any time throughout the year though some studies have a set curriculum which is best to join at the beginning.

Who Are The Leaders?

All Bible Studies listed are led by trained leaders that provide a safe environment for discussion, fellowship, growth, accountability and prayer.

What Is The Format?

Each group meets weekly, under the direction of a trained leader. Group leaders determine the time and location (either at Perimeter Church or in a member's home). The leader also determines what each group will study based on theological parameters of Perimeter Church.

Children's Programming

For studies that take place at the church, Childcare/Children's Programming is available with pre-registration and a reasonable fee for newborn through five years old on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM. Register your children according to which study you would like to attend below.

What Studies Are Available?

  • Join a group of wonderful retired women as they gather at the church weekly to study the Bible.

Beth Moore - "Stepping Up: A Study of the Psalms of Ascent"

Explore the major feasts of Israel and journey through this 7-session study of Psalms. Themes of unity, joy, gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. Modern-day believers in Jesus Christ can learn much from these treasured Psalms in their journey toward greater intimacy with God.

  • Priscilla Shirer - "One in a Million: Journey to Your Promised Land"
    When:  Tuesdays, starting September 9, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
    Location:  Perimeter Church, Room C21
    Leader:  Sally Sheffield
    Questions: Contact Sally

The Egyptians in Exodus 1 were intent on enslaving the Israelites, wearing them down so that God's chosen people would become disillusioned and not live up to their destiny. Similarly, modern day Christians often hear and understand the promises of God each Sunday morning at church but then rarely choose to experience them in everyday life.  Priscilla Shirer invites us to change that pattern for good, living beyond our circumstances and expecting to see God move in miraculous ways day after day.

  • Beth Moore - "Children of the Day"

    When:  Thursdays, starting September 11, 12:30 - 2:30 PM

    Location:  Perimeter Church, Room C11

    Leader:  Laura Madden

    Questions:  Contact Laura

There is no childcare available for this study.

Is family life a challenge? Is work driving you crazy? Do you know God has a purpose for your life, but can't figure out what it is? Know that your circumstances are not coincidental. And God's timing is impeccable. In this study, you'll face crises, afflictions, relationships, doubts, concerns, and fears. Find encouragement for living the Christian life now and hope for when Christ returns.

  • If you don't see a study that suits your availability/interest, we encourage you to consider joining a Women's Discipleship Group!

Different, or the same?
If you are familiar with our Bible study ministry you should know that we are making some exciting changes this year - we are taking a break from weekly large-group gatherings and allowing our individual small groups to branch out on their own. Each  group will select its own curriculum based on it's missional focus and the needs of group members. We hope the result will be a study that impacts your life in a deeply meaningful way.

Engaging the heart, not just the mind
Sometimes people think of "Bible Study" as a purely intellectual exercise. They think that the goal is to examine and debate Scripture just for academic reasons. While some Bible studies may work that way, ours is very different. True, they will stretch your mind, as you consider the profound truths of God. But it is not just intellectual. Our desire is to grasp God's love and rest in it so completely, that our hearts become more surrendered to Him.
