topics:
The topics that will be discussed are:

Lesson 1 - Choosing a foundation
This lesson emphasizes the importance of building your marriage on the right foundation as opposed to the world’s model. We will go back to Genesis and Creation as God’s model for marriage and the role of the man and woman. This lesson stresses the importance of looking to God rather than our husband to meet our needs.

Lesson 2 - Choosing to Accept
This lesson emphasizes the need to accept your mate as God's provision for you, which leads to a whole-hearted commitment to work through your problems instead of looking for a way out. This lesson also emphasizes the importance of accepting your mate as his is instead of trying to change him. Leave the change to God.

Lesson 3 - Choosing to Understand
We can gain a better understanding of our husbands by looking at the five basic drives that God has instilled within each man that are reflected in the male ego. this lesson will help us to cooperate with these drives rather than fight against them.

Lesson 4 - Choosing to Say 'Yes' to Your Role as a Woman
There are many voices in our society telling women what their role should be and that male/female roles are interchangeable. This lesson looks at a woman's role as defines in Scripture and stresses that fulfilling your God-given role is the source of true happiness and contentment.

Lesson 5 - Choosing to Submit
A biblically submissive wife is different from the world's view of submission, which implies inferiority, becoming a non-entity, a doormat. Submission is not meant to put a straight-jacket on women, but to enable them to stop being a competitor with their husband and become the helper-completer God intended them to be. Lesson 5 also challenges women to encourage their husbands to fulfill their god-given leadership role.

Lesson 6 - Choosing to Communicate/Resolve Conflict
Inadequate communication is a major factor in the failure of marriages. This lesson gives principles for better communication with your mate and resolving conflict in a positive, rather than a negative, accusing way.

Lesson 7 - Choosing to be a Godly and Sensuous Wife
This lesson provides biblical insight about God's perspective on sex and gives practical, creative ideas for enhancing your physical relationship with the husband you love.

Lesson 8 - Choosing to Raise Your Children God's Way
This lesson addresses two of the major sources of confusion in our society: 1) the proper authority structure in the home and 2) the importance of teaching children their sex roles in the home. Also emphasizes the importance of the mother's attitude in the home - does she consider motherhood a burden or a blessing?

Lesson 9 - Choosing to Be a Competent Homemaker
This lesson encourages women to have a good attitude toward homemaking and to develop the necessary skills to maintain an efficient and orderly home. Also emphasizes that the home is the most important training center for our children's marriages.

Lesson 10 - Choosing the Best
This lesson explores the issue of working wives and mothers. Practical guidelines for evaluating your individual situation are given. Since the work issue is complex, it is important that each family look at biblical principles in determining what is best for them.
