Community Groups

Community Groups are intended to be relaxed, comfortable and intentional Christ-centered gatherings to develop relationships with each other. We meet "off-campus" by city and common location. Each group is open-door and runs for various timeframes.

FAQ

What's the difference between a Community Group and a Discipleship Group?

The key differences between Community Groups and Discipleship Groups are in the group size and demographics, the amount of time to prepare for a group meeting, as well as the intent of the group. We created a brief overview comparing the nature of the two ministries in the image below.

Can I visit a few different groups before deciding on one?

Yes, we understand that you may want to visit more than one group before deciding on the best one for you. We do recommend that you visit a group more than once before making a decision.

How often will groups meet?

Community Groups meet at least once a month, with some groups meeting more frequently.

Can I be a regular group member of more than one group at a time?

Yes, you are welcome to be a member of more than one group, but we have found that with the typical Atlantan's schedule, it is often difficult to participate fully in the life of more than one group at a time.

How can I start my own group?

Starting a Community Group is simple! We require you to be a Perimeter Church member (or in the membership process) and that you be willing to connect with staff leadership 3-4 times per year. Begin a conversation with us today.

If I haven't heard back from a group that I contacted, what should I do?

Please contact Sarah Taylor. While our hosts do their best to contact you in a timely manner, things happen. If you have not heard back after a week, we will be happy to help contact the host for you.
