The team for VBS will depart Atlanta on a Thursday, arriving in Tanzania on Friday night. Saturday and Sunday will be spent preparing for the week, visiting sponsored children, and attending worship at the local church. Your week begins bright and early Monday morning and doesn’t stop until Friday afternoon! Happy exhaustion and joyful hearts will rule the day! Each evening around the dinner table you will have the chance to share your experiences of the day – both high points and struggles – and pray with one another. Each day will be another opportunity to build relationship with the children of the community and the school as you share the Good News of Jesus with them. Saturday will afford opportunity for shopping and a fun lunch prior to heading to the safari lodge. After a relaxing evening watching the sunset over the African savanna, you will awaken early Sunday for your time in the safari park. Your safari driver will take you directly to the airport from safari. Accommodations for this trip: Western in nature with running water and electricity (most of the time).
