Dear Friends and Family,

“There is no reason you shouldn’t go.” That is what kept echoing in my brain. Since we moved to Georgia 4 years ago, my husband has been involved in Global Outreach and kept saying, “There is no reason you shouldn’t go!”

Tanzania? That is across the world. What about the children? What about the family? What about...? What about...?

But God-I kept hearing Him say, “There is no reason you shouldn’t go.” So I sit here and write to you, to ask you to follow me in my journey to the remote village of Karansi in Tanzania. To a village wrought with poverty but filled with love. To a village of beautiful, lovely widows and orphans that crave the gospel and the love of Christ in a way we cannot ever understand. To sit with them, teach with them, and learn with them.

The purpose of our 10-day trip will be to provide a vacation bible school to 500 precious children. My eyes well with tears as I think of their faces. I have only ever seen pictures and videos of these children, these brothers and sisters of mine in Christ. Now, I have been called to enter into the hard places. Without the comforts of home, without my family, to a tiny village at the base of Kilimanjaro. To be the hands and feet of Christ. God has continued to give me peace in the journey and fill my heart with His power and confidence that does not exist without Him.

So, you ask, “why me”? I am reaching out to you because I want you to prayerfully walk with me during this journey. Through both prayer and, if your situation allows, monetary support. Will you join me in this?

The total cost of my mission trip is $3,300. We are individually responsible for raising our support. My favorite verse of all time is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. He who is in me and in this.
