Perimeter Church believes that Christians in the United States have been entrusted with their citizenship for God's glory.  We believe we should equip ourselves with the knowledge and information necessary to make informed decisions for the benefit of our communities, state and country. The purpose of this page is to provide resources, links and opportunities that would best serve one's desire to research and know how to get involved in current civic issues.

The Election is Tuesday, November 8, from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM.

A Runoff, if necessary, will be on December 6 and/or January 10..

WHERE DO I VOTE? WHERE CAN I GET A SAMPLE BALLOT?

Go to "My Voter Page" (MVP) at the Georgia Secretary of State Web site: http://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov

Enter your name, birth date, and county.

 

You will find personalized information for your voting needs:  voting location, hours, early voting locations, absentee ballot application, sample ballots, etc.  Some of this information might not be available until closer to the election.


WHERE CAN I FIND OUT ABOUT EARLY VOTING AND ABSENTEE VOTING?

Click here to go to the MVP page of the Georgia Secretary of State website. Beneath the Polling Place, click on the link named "Click here for Early Voting Locations and Times". Most counties have multiple locations for Early Voting beginning Monday, October 17.


HOW CAN I GET VOTER INFORMATION FROM MY IPHONE OR ANDROID DEVICE?

Go to your app store and search for "ga votes". The icon shows a peach. This free app uses the functionality of the MVP My Voter Page on the Georgia Secretary of State's website.


WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER?

The deadline to register to vote in the November, 2016 election was October 11.

AM I ALREADY REGISTERED IN GEORGIA?

To see if you are on the State list of voters, go to http://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov.  If your newly registered name does not appear, the next place to check would be the Board of Elections for your County.


HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHO MY ELECTED OFFICIALS ARE?

  • Keep your names and contact information handy, so you will have the information available quickly when you need to contact your officials.
  • Go to the MVP My Voter Page, search for "ga mvp" or click here http://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP
  • Contact information for our 2 US Senators and Governor is shown in the list below.
  • Click on the link for your US Congress District.  You will be taken to your Congressman's Web site.  Go to the page named Contact or something similar, for phone and email information.  Copy / Paste or write down the name, email, and phone information for your Congressman.
  • Write down your 2 District numbers for Georgia Senate and Georgia House.  In the screen shot below, they are 27, and 25.
  • Click on the link for Georgia Senate.
  • Scroll down to find your District number in the list.  Click on the link which is your Senator's name.
  • Copy / Paste, or write down, the name, email and phone information for your Georgia Senator.
  • Follow the same 3 steps for Georgia House.
