Current Studies

“Me, Myself & Lies”, by Jennifer Rothschild, Tuesdays, beginning September 10

Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves. All too often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. According to Rothschild, what we think about often has a ripple effect on nearly every area of our lives. (Seven sessions)

Join us for seven-week Bible study that will encourage you to clean out the junk in your mind and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God's word.

Time: 10:00 - 11:30 AM

Location: Uptown Auditorium

Leader: Mary Beth Holland

“The Wisdom of God, Seeing Jesus in the Psalms & Wisdom Books”, By Nancy Guthrie Tuesdays, beginning September 10

An in-depth study of the Old Testament Wisdom Literature of the Bible, with the goal of understanding it in the way that Jesus Himself taught the disciples to read and understand the Old Testament: with Him at the center. As we see not only the wise principles for living in these biblical books, but also the wise person they point to, it will help us to understand the person and work of Christ more clearly which will prepare us to worship Him more fully.

Time: 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Location: C11

Leader: Sally Sheffield

“Finding God Faithful, A Study on the Life of Joseph”, by Kelly Minter, Thursdays, beginning November 7

In the midst of hardship, tragedy, and unanswered questions, it’s difficult to glimpse God at work. How do we hold onto our faith during these times? How do we trust God is working all things for our good and His glory? Over 8 sessions, trace the path of Joseph’s life in the Book of Genesis to observe how God’s sovereignty reigns, even in our darkest moments. Learn to recognize when God is working during periods of waiting, trust God’s plan when life doesn’t make sense, and rest in the sufficiency of His presence in every circumstance. His provision is enough, His presence is constant, and His purpose is unstoppable.

Time: 12:30 - 2:30 PM

Location: C11
