Stewart Parham Evans, age 50, of Johns Creek, passed away April 8, 2022, after a tragic skiing accident in Beaver Creek, CO. He was born in Orangeburg, SC, the son of Robert Evans and Anne Evans. Stewart’s passion was intentional relationships with both his family as well as other men whether in business, church, or social life. These relationships all stemmed from his rootedness in his faith and love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Stewart graduated high school from Athens Academy in Athens, GA, and then graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Stewart spent his working years in the construction industry employed by Beers Construction, CCL Associates, Intergral-Gude, Macallan Construction and most recently as a partner in Greater Georgia Concrete. He served as an elder at Perimeter Church as well as a discipleship group leader, children’s ministry teacher and nursery volunteer. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his servant heartedness, and his warm, endearing personality.
Stewart is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn McCoy Evans and three daughters Perry (16), Louise (14) and Meredith (12). Other survivors are his parents, Robert Evans and Anne Evans, his three sisters Sumner Evans Pickering, Della Evans Shepherd and Caroline Evans Watts, as well as two half siblings Van Evans, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Stewart is preceded in death by a half-sister, Grace Evans.
