Benefits Check Up is an online tool that screens for federal, state, and some local, private and public benefits for adults age 55 and over.  It contains more than 1200 different programs from all 50 states and D.C.  On average there are 50-70 programs per state for individuals.  In addition to the information about the programs, the website contains local contacts and materials to help successfully apply for the programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Served active duty during war time
  • 65 or older or are disabled
  • Meet VA asset limit
  • Have limited income and/or have extensive unreimbursed medical expenses
