Young Families Weekend

April 13 - 14, 2018

Registration Deadline: April 5 at Midnight (EST)

Every family has a story.  Some happy, some sad, some downright ridiculous.  And with young families, that story often involves a hefty chapter on your children.  But at the core of that story is your marriage - and as that particular tale unwinds, so goes the bigger story of your family.

Join us for the 2018 Young Families Weekend, built specifically for families with children under the age of 12.  Think of it as a retreat - without having to retreat.  This year, we’ll be digging into the story of our marriages.  How do they affect the larger story of our families?  How do they fit into the larger story God is working around us?  Marriage during the young family years can often be a backstory - second place to our roles as parents.  But this April, join us for a time of reading into the story of your marriage.  You just might find it’s more central than you think.

Friday, April 13 - Saturday, April 14, families will come together at Perimeter for a weekend of teaching, activities, fun, and community - all towards the goal of teaching families to understand and align their story with God’s. We’ll hear from special guest Scotty Smith, the founding pastor of Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN, contributor to The Gospel Coalition, as well as the author of Restoring Broken Things.  With rich teaching, time together as a couple and as a family, and a few surprises - you won’t want to miss it!

After lunch enjoy the afternoon with your family! We’ll provide several ideas for a fun afternoon together, so you can take it at your own pace. Hit a local park together, head out for some bowling, or even just go home for a nap - it’s up to your family to make the most of your day! And once the kids are in bed, enjoy a take-home Date Kit, specifically designed to wrap up our weekend on marriage and provide a little fun date time for mom and dad!

  • Childcare

Childcare is provided for infants up to 6th grade. Friday night the kids will enjoy a pizza dinner, plus plenty of play time as Mom and Dad do top-secret boring grown-up stuff. (Hint: it won’t be boring, but just tell your kids it is… so they don’t get jealous).

Saturday, older kids will enjoy a sweet time of fun, games, and activities, put together by our Children’s Ministry. Activities will line up with the themes that the grown-ups are learning. It's like their own mini-retreat designed just for them.

For younger kids, they’ll enjoy a concert by Miss Gail!

  • Cost

    $45 per couple + $5 per child

You must fill out both registrations to be registered for Young Families Weekend
