Anna's Sisters Luncheon

Sunday, November 11
12:30 – 2:30 PM in the Ministry Center

Ladies, join us as we gather to have lunch and bless the families of Rainbow Village again this year.  We will be putting together our Thanksgiving Blessing Baskets. The ministry has been so blessed by your generosity the past few years as you’ve served alongside them to help cultivate a heart of thankfulness among their families.

We’ll begin by having lunch together then we’ll get busy making the beautiful baskets.

Suggested Basket Items
Here is a list of suggested items for the baskets (the church will provide the baskets):

  • Canned or dry goods that can be used for a traditional Thanksgiving meal
  • Decorative paper plates & napkins
  • Decorative centerpiece (nothing too large)
  • A gift card to help the parent purchase a turkey or ham or other perishable goods for their Thanksgiving meal
  • A favorite recipe you might want to share
  • A note of encouragement to the family

Our grace community at Perimeter Church is a fellowship of vibrant women who come together with a common bond to support, love and encourage one another. We warmly welcome newcomers of all ages and stages and offer a variety of activities throughout the year including luncheons and service projects. All of this is undergirded with support from Perimeter's Deacons.

Anna's Sisters got its name from a prophet named Anna who was married for 7 years and was a widow until she was 84 years old. She never left the temple, but worshipped night and day, fasting and praying. When Joseph and Mary presented Jesus at the Temple, Anna came up to them at that very moment, gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.  (Luke 2:22,36-38 paraphrased)

DEACONS MINISTRY TO OUR WIDOWS

A deacon is assigned to each of our Perimeter widows. His responsibilities as an assigned deacon are to contact her and provide assistance with minor needs (home repair, transportation, etc.). He is also a resource for other ministries that are available at Perimeter.

If you would like to be assigned a deacon or have questions about this ministry, please contact Brad Koch at Widows.Deacon@perimeter.org.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Bulletin Stuffing
Every Friday afternoon at 1:00 - 3:00 PM in room C11, you have the opportunity to help out in a little known privilege by preparing the bulletins for Sunday's worship service. We have so much fun visiting with each other while we serve the Lord.  We'd love to have you join us!  Contact Andy Fambrough at bulletingstuffing@perimeter.org.
