What Studies Are Available?

The Son of David: Seeing Jesus in the Historical Books, by Nancy Guthrie

Tuesdays, beginning Sep 12, 9:30 - 11:30 AM

Perimeter Church, Uptown Auditorium

Join us for this ten week study which traces the history of the people of God from the time Joshua led them into the Promised Land through the years of having no king, having a series of kings, being exiled from the Promised Land, and finally returning to the land where they awaited the coming of the True King. This study reveals the kingdom of God not only as it once was, but also as it is now, and as it will one day be. Readers will see Jesus revealed in the characters of the old testament as Israel is waiting throughout history for the His coming, the true Restorer and Redeemer.

Leader: Gloria Northern

The Armor of God, by Priscilla Shirer

Tuesdays, beginning Sep 12, 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Perimeter Church, Room C21

Join us for this 7 week study that will teach you not just the biblical description of the believers inventory of the armor of God but will give you an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you - unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. The Enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion.

Leader: Sally Sheffield

A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place, by Beth Moore

Wednesdays, beginning Sep 13, 12:00 - 2:00

Perimeter Church, Room C1011

Join us for this 10 week study where you will explore the fascinating account of the building of the Old Testament Tabernacle. Perhaps no Old Testament event so dramatically illustrates God's persistent desire to relate to His children as the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His Chosen People by bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. No Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true tabernacle, Jesus Christ. You will be challenged to prepare your heart like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory, a dwelling place for the Most High God.

Leader: Virginia Johnson

Seamless, Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story, by Angie Smith

Thursdays, beginning Sep 14, 12:30 - 2:30 PM

Perimeter Church, C11

In 7 sessions, Seamless covers the people, places and promises of the Bible, tying them together in the greater story of scripture. Whether you've grown up hearing Bible stories or you're exploring scripture for the first time, you'll experience the Bible as a whole as you gain clarity in your understanding of scripture.

Engaging the heart, not just the mind
Sometimes people think of "Bible Study" as a purely intellectual exercise. They think that the goal is to examine and debate Scripture just for academic reasons. While some Bible studies may work that way, ours is very different. True, they will stretch your mind, as you consider the profound truths of God. But it is not just intellectual. Our desire is to grasp God's love and rest in it so completely, that our hearts become more surrendered to Him.
