As followers of Jesus we believe we are called to engage with the world around us, but how do we bring the love of Jesus to bear in our work, our relationships, and our homes in the midst of this extreme societal upheaval we're all experiencing? As younger members and attenders of our church, we are experiencing this season of the pandemic, politics, and cultural tension in unique ways that bring up unique challenges and questions as well. Do we just join the battle like everyone else, totally check out, moderate between the two? Or is there a better way? We think so.
On September 24, October 1, and October 8, we will host our first Young Adults and Families Fall Series: Engaging the Chaos With the Love of Christ to speak directly to young singles, young married couples, and young parents about our call to hold fast to truth, walk by faith, and be light in the darkness of our world. We believe that, in the midst of possibly increasing chaos in the coming days, our congregation can be a counter-cultural apologetic of the beautiful good news of Jesus in a world clinging to so many other things for life and hope. You'll hear from our lead teacher Jeff Norris, as well as our YAF staff team, and a variety and many others via helpful teaching and panel discussions each week.
Each evening will begin at 7:00 PM and end before 8:00 PM in our Sanctuary. We will livestream via our various communities' Facebook groups, linked below, but you will also be able to attend in person if you would like to! We will have ample space in the Sanctuary for distancing, no singing, masks required for the entirety of the evening, and you will need to reserve your seat in advance, just like Sunday mornings!
