Jhi is a ministry of Perimeter Church that offers opportunities for middle school students to connect, grow and serve.
Middle School is a time when students really begin to question what they believe and how they fit into the world, therefore this is a great opportunity to encourage them to get involved. As part of our desire to help students connect, grow and serve, we encourage Jhi students to attend corporate worship and to serve in the Nursery, KIDS Discipleship or KidsQuest.
In an effort to build community among our students during these uncertain times, Jhi will gather one to two times per month off-campus in smaller groups around the city. While we would love for everyone to come to these events, participation must be limited based on the venue and staff/volunteers for the overall safety of our students. We cannot be responsible for students who are not registered with us. Event registration will go “live” 11:00 AM the Wednesday a week and half before the event and can be located under the Jhi Event Calendar on this page.
Jhi LIFE is our weekly middle school discipleship program. We gather in small groups onsite or in a host home and watch the talk virtually and discuss.
The Jhi LEAD is a great opportunity for Jr. High students to connect in a smaller community and serve within the Jhi Ministry on Fridays and Sundays. Jhi LEAD students will have the opportunity to take ownership and leadership in the Jhi ministry through praying, connecting to people, growing in their God-given gifts, and serving in an area of the ministry! We provide monthly training on Gospel Sharing Tools, Time Management, Spiritual Disciplines, and many more! Servant Team students must be registered and attending Discipleship on a weekly basis. Registration is available at the time of discipleship registration.
Jhi has two out of town retreats per year (Fall Retreat and Surge). We also have Jhi Missions Week (June) and RUSH Conference (July). All are very intentional community building events to help students foster relationships and are packed full of time without life distractions focused on learning more about Jesus.
We have great opportunities for parents to serve in the Jhi Ministry! Our most critical need is for Leaders in our Discipleship groups on Sunday and Connect Groups on Fridays. Many parents express concern over leading their student during middle school. Consider serving a group other than your child’s. We need and love for parents to speak into the lives of our middle school students. Developmentally, we’re working with students who are asking big questions. Who am I? Do I belong? Do I have anything significant to contribute? Parent leaders are important! Learn more by email: jhi@perimeter.org, or click link below.
