During the month of October, Perimeter Church is hosting a Church-wide Fall Food Drive. Throughout the month we will be offering you opportunities to be part of our campaign by donating food, shopping at our virtual grocery store, hosting a neighborhood food drive, joining in our fall serve day and encouraging your neighbors and our community to support our local food banks.

Our food drive will KICK OFF on Saturday, October 3, with a Fall Serve Day. We will be putting together emergency food bags, Thanksgiving meal boxes, and personal hygiene kits while serving our local co-ops. We will also have the opportunity to hear how they have been serving families who have been experiencing unforeseen challenges due to COVID–19. Help us provide meals and hope to these families by being part of our Fall Serve Day and Food Drive.

Our fall serve day will take place at various nonprofit locations in our communities from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Sign your family or small group up to serve at one of these opportunities being offered.

Space is limited and we are expecting all volunteers to wear masks while they serve together at one of our nonprofits.

If you cannot serve on October 3, we are also looking for volunteers to help us get ready by shopping for food items.

  • Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries | Food Pantry

500 Pinnacle Court, Suite 510, Norcross
Clients Served: Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Tucker
Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries has served as helping hands in our community for over 30 years with a mission to provide services to low income and homeless families in crisis. We help families in need of food, clothing, financial assistance, ESOL classes, job ministry, small support groups, and referrals.

Project: Volunteers are needed to pack emergency food bags for our clients that come to the coop. This helps feed our struggling community especially in times of crisis. You will also have an opportunity to see their new facility, hear about our new name (formerly Norcross Cooperative) and hear all the ways we have been helping families who are struggling since COVID started back in March.

Additional Opportunities to Serve for our Fall Serve Day and Food Drive

  • Host A Neighborhood Food Drive

Our goal is to have 50 neighborhood food drives during the month oh October. Starting on October 3, our Fall Serve Day. This is a great way to still practice social distancing while serving our neighbors. Community Outreach has put together a food drive starter kit that will make it so easy. Invite your friends, your neighbors, and your family to join you. If you want, Community Outreach can help you with flyers and yard signs. Why 50? We support 5 local food banks, and if we can get 10 drives for each food bank, we would be able to help them stock their shelves for the upcoming holiday season. For more information contact Jackie Dieter at jackied@perimeter.org or 678.405.2122.

  • Help With Deliveries

    Mondays October 12, 19, 26
Community Outreach needs help delivering food that comes in from our food drive during the month of October. The food will be dispersed between the five different food banks with which we partner. There will be people at the food banks to help with unloading the bags. For more information contact Jackie Dieter at jackied@perimeter.org or 678.405.2122.

  • Shoppers For Family Serve Day

    September 14 - 30
Help make our serve day a success. Volunteers will be serving offsite packing Thanksgiving food boxes and bags to bless families in need with food for Thanksgiving. We need shoppers to purchase food items for our Fall Serve Day. Community Outreach will provide you with a list along with delivery instructions. You will be reimbursed when you turn in your receipts. For more information contact Jackie Dieter at jackied@perimeter.org or 678.405.2122.
