Welcome to Perimeter
We are pleased that you have chosen to visit our web site and we hope you will come and visit us in person as well. As you explore our site you'll notice that we have a lot to offer the families and individuals in our community, including things for children of all ages as well as adults, no matter what their age or stage of life (single, married, divorced, widowed, whatever). Perimeter is a truly a come as you are church. It's a safe place to explore the truths of Christianity and it's a great place to experience growth and community.
Our services feature a blend of traditional hymns with contemporary praise songs, and will often feature drama, personal testimonies, and dance - providing a dynamic and impacting time of worship. We were all created to worship and at Perimeter Church our desire is to help you worship well.

Atlanta ---> Guatemala
Five of the six women on our mission team departed from Atlanta mid-morning on Saturday, while the sixth had already headed out on an early morning flight. Pictured from left to right are D'Ann, TG, Johnna, Tracy, and Constance. Our trip got off to an exciting start with various mishaps including miscommunication about a piece of luggage (we thought it was lost forever!), a stubborn Delta employee, an entire bottle of nutmeg going into a single cup of coffee, a burst of adrenaline at the realization our assigned gate was far away, a memorable ride on the airport cruise car, and a late-breaking gate change.
We were so glad to safely touch down in Guatemala and quickly connect with Alberto from Medical Missions Ministries (MMM) who was picking us up. Quickly we became concerned that our 10 large pieces of luggage, 5 carry-ons, 5 personal items, plus 6 people had little chance of fitting in a single Suburban. We apparently underestimated the spacial ability and ingenuity of Alberto and the porter who helped us with our luggage. They pieced it all together like a three dimensional puzzle! Soon we were off to MMM to take care of some logistics.
At MMM we met up with our sixth team member, Sherri, and her daughter, Kelli. Kelli is the Director of the Child Protection and Restoration project at Mana de Vida - which you will hear all about in later posts. We traveled to Mana de Vida and got to share in a very special event, Kelli's wedding shower! Kelli and her fiance Pablo graciously invited us to their celebration, and their friends and family treated us as special guests. Fun games included Bible trivia, crafting paper wedding outfits for the bride and groom, and throwing the bouquet.
After the wedding shower we headed to our lodging, ate dinner as a team, and settled in for the night. Our Guatemala adventure had begun!
