Join Community Outreach, July 20 at 9:00 AM for a fun morning filled with both serving and learning opportunities to help you grow in loving the city where you live! Gather together with your friends, family or small group. Invite your neighbors and co-workers to join you as we help get our kids and schools ready to go back to school. 

Help us assemble backpacks, basic need bags and clinic supplies for our local schools. Check out our offsite opportunities to help in the schools in our area.

    Encourage teachers at our partner Title I schools this year. We've heard back from our partners that teachers are so encouraged by these letters, so join Community Outreach on Summer Serve Day to serve our teachers well.

  • Project Completion Team

    Saturday, July 20

    9:00 AM - 11:30 PM

    Volunteers on this team will pull from supplies around the room to fill needs for clinic kits, snacks for homework clubs , and critical needs for diapers and food for our local coops and schools. Supplies will be located around the room, you’ll be provided a list of items needed for each site, pull the items, and get correct counts by each of the organizations that will be receiving them.

    Serve our Perimeter family on Summer Serve Day on the hospitality and greeting team. Welcome our volunteers, point them in the right direction, and the refill refreshments throughout the morning.

    Come help the Community Outreach staff organize, take inventory and distribute the items from the completed different projects. Must be able to lift heavy boxes. Wear comfortable shoes.

    Learn how to model skills and questions that, with the Spirit’s help, can reveal the underlying issue or concern of those we engage with the most.

  • The Kaleid Project

    Come hear from the Kaleid Team and learn ways that women can come together to make a difference and serve God with greater health.  This session is only available for women.

Come help the Community Outreach staff set up for our Summer Serve Day in the Fellowship Hall. Choose one or both shifts above. We will be setting up the assembly lines and double-checking supplies. Be prepared to lift boxes, count and sort hundreds of items, and walk a lot! In other words, wear your sneakers!
