Understanding and Communicating the Gospel in a Pluralist Society

This six-week class starting on Thursday, February 21, will provide each participant with an understanding of the concept of worldview and show how our worldview makes a difference for how we think, imagine, and act in our day-to-day lives. We will compare and contrast the Christian worldview with other popular views and give reasons for why the Christian worldview is true.

Christian History and Apologetics

We live in a post-Christian culture in which many people no longer acknowledge the reality of absolute truth and the authority of the Bible.  Unfortunately, many Christians have only a superficial knowledge and understanding of Christian history and the factual and rational bases for the Christian faith.  In order to understand the Christian faith better and share their faith more effectively in the midst of our increasingly skeptical and pluralistic culture, Christians need to be prepared to respond intelligently and lovingly to the many misconceptions and challenges posed by non-believers of all kinds -- atheists, skeptics, cultists, New Agers, honest spiritual seekers, and people of other religions.

These seminar classes, sponsored by Dr. Jefrey Breshears and The Areopagus, will broaden and deepen your understanding of the Christian faith and equip you to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ more effectively in your interactions with other Christians and non-Christians alike.
