OneRace is a collective movement among churches to seek racial reconciliation and revival in the Church at large. The movement began last summer with OneRace Stone Mountain, an event that brought thousands of people together to pray, worship and renounce the historic divisions of racism.
Perimeter is a part of the OneRace movement and joins with the many other churches from across the region, who have committed to partner to start a movement of reconciliation.
On Friday, August 9 from 7:30 - 9:00 PM, Perimeter will host a OneRace prayer gathering in our Chapel. The gathering will include a time of worship and prayer led in part by Randy Pope, Jeff Norris and other local area pastors. All are invited to attend.
This prayer gathering is just one part of a series of OneRace events and activities held this summer, culminating in a Day of Remembrance gathering held at local churches on Sunday, August 25. This date commemorates the 400th anniversary since the first slave ship docked in Jamestown. The prayer is that this season of remembrance would act as a healing balm to the racial wound of our nation, furthering spiritual renewal for the Church.
