Discipleship
Our mission is to form gospel-rooted disciples of Christ who make and train disciples.
Discipleship—the process of following Jesus and becoming more like him—is at the core of our ministry. Jesus invested deeply in the twelve disciples—loving, teaching, and equipping them. Later, He called His followers to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). We desire to follow the example and command of Jesus by equipping people, from children to adults, in discipleship. The goal is to help move followers of Jesus from belief to maturity, and equip them to someday lead and invest in their own groups.
Becoming mature and equipped followers of Christ
Adults
Adult discipleship at Perimeter happens in small groups of five to six people. Groups meet weekly during the school year, from September to May. Though not required, most groups use The Journey curriculum, which which covers a wide range of topics, such as Gospel Living, Grace Commitments, Knowing God, Healthy Marriage, God-Honoring Parenting, and Biblical Worldview. The majority of the group time is spent going over the lesson, sharing personal application, and prayer.
