Hello and thank you for praying with and supporting Toby and I!
We are heading to Poznan, Poland from June 30th to July 9th to help a local church minister to the Ukranian refugees and the Polish families who are supporting and hosting refugees. Our work will be a mix of engaging the children from Ukraine as they try to live in a new and most likely unfamiliar place, encouraging and supporting the Ukranian mothers who have been separated from their husbands and sons, and working to help the local church establish a base in a hotel to serve as a center for resources in response to the refugee crisis.
Currently, Toby and I are fully funded, so any monetary donation will go directly to helping one of our team members raise their support, or go to the church in Poland that we are partnering with. Right now, we are asking for your prayers. Spiritual warfare will come. It already has in several areas of the trip, and this is one reason that we know this is the Lord's work. We ask specifically that you pray for smooth travels for the team as COVID restrictions remain a barrier, and that He would prepare our hearts to be humble and servant-minded as we enter into the tragedies and miracles that God is doing in Poland and the Ukraine.
Pray also for the pastors and Christianity as a religion in Poland. Christianity is seen more as a cult rather than an established religion, making it difficult for pastors to minister openly and successfully in Poland. However, God is on the move. The church has gained support from the local government, which is what has allowed them to start renovating the hotel to be used as a crisis center. The government has seen the heart of God in the Church's response to the refugee crisis, and therefore have shown unexpected generosity.
We are honored to be a part of this team and look forward to sharing how God uses your prayers and the prayers and work of Christians globally to extend Jesus' hands and feet to the orphaned, the widowed, and the lost.
