Bonjour!
I am pleased to tell you that I will be returning to France later this month to continue building relationships with French pastors and church leaders in Paris. I will be there from October 20th through October 30th.
We have made some wonderful contacts and Harry Cooksey, our fearless leader, has started to meet weekly via Zoom with a group of pastors to talk about discipleship and share their hearts. This is unusual, as the French tell very few people their feelings. We will meet with them and others during the time we are there. We’ll share ideas on how we can impact our cities as well as discipleship and the growth of believers and churches. We can learn from them because, with France being a post-Christian country, they have already learned how to reach out to neighbors in their districts and towns. Most French people would never enter a Protestant church.
We hope to be able to set up 2023 GO Journeys with one or more of the churches. A church might ask for a team to do daily prayer walks in the area, or for a youth ballet and band to conduct a weeklong camp for young ballet dancers, or for help with an English-speaking class. We are eager to help the French church as they ask. They always ask for prayer, and we have been praying for six years now. We see that God is moving, opening doors to bring the Light into the dark corners of Paris and the rest of France. Please pray for me and the rest of the team.
