Hi Friends and Family!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and hear about the incredible things God is doing in my life!
Growing up in the community of Perimeter and a christian household, so many incredible people and organizations have poured into me, helping me develop my faith and relationship with Christ. I have come to have a personal relationship with Him, and am eager to learn and develop more. When thinking of the transition to college in this upcoming year, I was praying for the Lord to guide me where I was supposed to go and how to be more connected. Something that I personally have been praying over is seen in Matthew 28: 19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. I know this is what Christ calls us to do, but I was unsure of how and where I was called to do so.
That prayer has been so graciously answered and I am so excited to get to share with you that I have the incredible opportunity to go to Johannesburg, South Africa with the highschool ministry at Perimeter Church.
We will be there for a period of ten days, and will get the incredible opportunity to serve the community there alongside City Hope Church. We will be serving Impact Africa through engaging with the local community as they are being taught English and life skills. This is their 19th year serving the community which is super exciting for us to be a part of that story. We will also be serving Philile which is a school for the inner city who are struggling economically. If you know me, you know that I will have a blast getting to serve them by playing games and of course singing alongside them. Through this, we will be interacting with the City Hope Church’s youth ministry called City Yth, getting to build relationships with their students and worship the Lord together.
While this is an incredible opportunity and I know the Lord will provide, I need your help!
We are fundraising $3,250, which seems intimidating but whatever you can give will make an impact.
Even if you can’t support financially, support through prayer! Specific prayers get specific answers so a couple things that I would really appreciate you praying for would be:
- Pray for the fundraising for me and all my friends to be provided
- Pray for safe travels
- Pray for God to make an impact in those we are serving
- Pray for God to make an impact in our own lives
- Pray for God to be the center and focus of this trip
- And pray for God’s kingdom to be spread
