SOUTH AFRICA MISSIONS TRIP

“HERE AM I. SEND ME!”

Greetings!

I hope you and your family are enjoying the coming of Spring! My name is Kendall Thomas, and I am a freshman student at Innovation Academy. I love to read historical fiction novels and taking long bike rides. I am even currently in the process of learning the Latin language.

I am sending you this letter because I have the wonderful opportunity of going to South Africa this summer, from July 21 - August 1, 2023, to serve the community there. I will be working with Perimeter Church’s Global Outreach program to serve in South Africa.  While on the ground, we will be working alongside City Hope Church as they serve Impact Africa and Philile in Johannesburg. Impact Africa serves the local community by teaching them English and Life Skills while providing a school for their Children during the week. All of this is done through relationship and aims to bring the gospel to them where they are at. Philile is a school for inner city Children who come from a struggling economic class. We will play games with them, sing for them, and bring much joy to their school day. We will also get to interact with the Youth Ministry of City Hope Church. We will attend their ministry, build relationships with their students, and worship the Lord together.

I am so excited for this journey that God has chosen me to go on. I am looking forward to the many serving opportunities that I will experience whilst in South Africa and leading up to the mission.

I am so grateful for you taking the time to read my story page. This journey that God has chosen to send me on is truly a wonderful opportunity to share His hope and love to the people of South Africa. However, I am not going on this mission alone. Without your prayers and support, I would not be able to go on this mission, which makes you part of this amazing journey with me. If you are unable to support me financially, please be praying for our team and the people we will impact.

For all these wonderful things to occur, I will need your help, and you may do that in two different ways. Firstly, our missions team needs your prayer as we prepare to serve the people of these communities, and also during the mission. Secondly, the cost of this mission will add up to around $3,250, and I will need your support to help me reach this goal. Your prayers and support are much appreciated.
