Hey there, friends and family!

I'm so excited to tell you about an incredible opportunity I have to join a team of 30 high school students and leaders from Perimeter Church on a 12 day mission trip to South Africa, July 21st-August 1st. As a chaperone, I have two roles on the team.

The first is to participate in the mission work we're going to do. While on the ground, we'll be serving alongside City Hope Church as they serve Impact Africa and Philile in Johannesburg. Impact Africa serves the local community by teaching them English and life skills while providing a school for their children during the week. The children come from a struggling economic class, and the aim is to bless them and bring the gospel to them through one-on-one relationships right where they are. We'll play games with them, sing for them, and do our very best to bring joy to their school days!

The second is to serve alongside our high school students as a leader. If you know our students, you know how wonderful of a group they are. It's hard to express how much I've loved getting to know them during my time at Perimeter, and to me, this trip is an opportunity to strengthen my relationships with them in a brand new way. My desire is that the Lord would use me as an instrument for his glory in their lives, that while we're traveling and on the ground, I'd have the opportunity to pour into them in ways that we wouldn't have at home.

But as you know, a trip like this not possible without the support of friends, family, and the local church. For that reason, I want to humbly ask for your support in two ways.

The first is support through prayer. We believe that Jesus has sheep scattered across the nations who have not yet heard his voice (John 10:16). So we go out in confidence, asking that he would use us as instruments through which they'd hear his voice and follow him! Would you pray that the Father would use our efforts in South Africa to draw hearts to Christ?

The second is financial support. We believe that taking the gospel to the nations requires that some go to be the hands and feet of Christ right where people are. To do this, we are each responsible for raising $3250 to cover the cost of the trip. This is no small amount, so raising support is essential. Would you prayerfully consider making a donation?
