Maddie is going to Guatemala

2023 Guatemala | Guatemala MMM June 17-24

Jun 17, 2023 - Jun 24, 2023

Hi friends and family, I’m Maddie and I'm in 7th grade. This summer, from June 17-24, I will be going on my first mission trip with my family (Eric, Elise, Sophie, and Charlie Chang) to Guatemala. There, my team and I look forward to helping medical professionals and spreading the Gospel. I have heard many people say that this trip has changed their lives, so I am thrilled to see what’s to come.

We will be staying in a ministry center in Guatemala city. While we are there, we will be partnering with the Medical Missions Ministries (MMM). They are an organization full of Guatemalan Christian doctors, dentists, and support staff that have a goal to guide people to walk in the path of the Holy Spirit. They provide medical care mainly to areas like Guatemala, that are more rural and don’t have great access to healthcare. In local churches, my team and I will predominantly be praying and spreading the Word of Christ in the sharing/praying station that patients will go to after being assisted by the medical team. In this time, we are able to connect with them and receive their prayer requests, as well as inform them about Christian faith if they have not yet accepted the Lord into their hearts. There are various other jobs for our team such as: running to get medication for the medical staff, organizing the medication, and working in the children's program.

As excited as I am to see God working with other people, I am eager to see how this trip will impact my relationship with Him. Having an opportunity to go on a mission trip like this is a blessing. I think it is truly different to see faith, hope, and love being spread in an environment that is not your own. My goals for this trip are to help people to know Christ, be able to view the world in a different perspective, and overall just have a good time. For this trip I am attempting to raise $1750, so to support me on this journey I would be grateful for your donations and prayers. Thank you!

Donations are tax-deductible and must be made payable to Perimeter Church, who is training and sending the team and who requests that this be above your regular tithe and offerings to your local church. If I raise more than 100%, the additional funds will be allocated to the team fund, and, after that, used at the discretion of the Global Outreach Ministry Team.
