Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I am humbled, as well as overwhelmed, to share that I have been asked to lead the Medical Mission Trip to Tanzania April 19-30.  Although this is my 8th trip to Tanzania – for which many of you have been support and prayer partners, this is my first time to lead a team.  It is such an incredible responsibility. I have been working very hard since November helping to recruit this team and plan the scope of our trip.  This team will include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, as well as a group of non-medical staff who will support our mission.  Our team will be paired with several Tanzanian doctors and nurses from the Tanzania National Health Service.

Our team will conduct physical exams for all of our children at the PUNCHMI school – all 306 of them! That number in itself amazes me, having seen this school in the very beginning.  What a tribute to Christian love and support.  We will also provide a clinic for the villagers of Karansi.  The last medical mission team served over 200 villagers with a multitude of health problems.

Please pray for me personally as I lead this team, making critical decisions with the input of others, and for the entire team as we begin a busy schedule of training to prepare for our work there. Colleagues from CDC are going to share their medical experience in Africa to better prepare our medical staff for diagnosing and treating our patients.  Pray also that God would prepare the way in the village for the innumerable issues we will face.  Pray that we will all be “Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands” all day, every day, serving as He has planned. This is again a multifaceted trip as we will also be providing computer maintenance and support for the school’s computer lab and gospel sharing to the patients as they await their prescriptions.

Each team member is responsible for raising a prayer team and financial support team for the trip. The total cost of the trip is $3500. If you would join in this opportunity to bless and be blessed, enclosed is a response card.  To donate online, visit www.perimeter.org/global.  Just choose this journey (Tanzania, April 19th) and my name from the drop-down boxes.  Donations are tax-deductible and must be made payable to Perimeter Church (9500 Medlock Bridge Rd, Johns Creek, GA  30097), who is training and sending the team and who requests that this be above your regular tithe and offerings to your local church.  If I raise more than 100%, the additional funds will be allocated to the team fund, and after that, used at the discretion of the Global Outreach Ministry team.    I request prayers for our entire team that we will be able to show God’s love to the children and villagers of Karansi.

Your prayers and willingness to share in this venture will be a blessing.

In His service,
