Hello Family and Friends,
Last July we may have left Tanzania, but Tanzania never left our hearts! We are excited to share that we feel led by the Spirit to return this summer and host a Vacation Bible School for the children of PUNCHMI as well as the village children of Karansi. One of the main goals for the VBS will be to help the children meet Jesus and grow in the knowledge of how deep and wide God’s love is for each of them. We also want to help them develop a real, life-long relationship with Jesus and a dependence upon the Holy Spirit that will empower them to spread the Gospel message throughout Tanzania for generations to come. Our team will share these truths through Bible lessons, crafts, prayer ministry, one-on-one relationship building, and much more. I [Tal] am especially excited because I feel led to bring my guitar and lead worship with our team for the children.
Would you consider partnering with us in this vision to bring more of God’s Kingdom to the people of Karansi, Tanzania. We are asking God for partners to join us in the ministry of prayer and through financial giving.
First of all, you can pray for us. Please pray that the kids will really experience God in powerful ways during the VBS. We would love to see salvations, healings, and other miracles on their behalf. Pray that the Gospel of God’s grace and goodness would spread rapidly (2 Thess 3:1).
Second, you can donate to our sending fund. Every bit counts, and we have to raise quite a few bits ($7,000)! Like the Philippians who supported Paul’s mission to Corinth, would you consider a financial donation? You can click here to support us, but may the true “credit” be given to your account! (Philippians 4:17).
We know there are many opportunities to help others with your gifts and your prayers and that you are not called to each one. Would you take a brief moment and ask the Holy Spirit if He is leading you to support this mission trip in any way? We appreciate it so much! We are blessed to know you and to have this opportunity to return to Tanzania and continue building on the good works God has begun there.
Sincerely,
Scott and Tal Mosher

Tal and I wanted to thank you for partnering with us on an amazing journey the past few months as we have prayed for the children and teachers in Tanzania, as we planned lessons to share God’s love with the people of Karansi, and as we journeyed to a land far away but very near in our hearts. The Lord showed up in some amazing ways during this time of ministry.
We saw God’s hand on things like our entry into the country with no delays or problems with our luggage and supplies, through immediate connection with the Tanzanian teachers and 7th grade students who would partner with us in translating and teaching our lessons, and a deep affection for the many children who came to our VBS week.
As Tal taught lessons on music and I taught on God’s purpose and calling on each of their lives, we saw hope and purpose growing in the hearts and minds of the children, and continued to fuel a belief throughout the week that they would one day make a huge impact on the world around them through His work in and through their lives.
Though we planned for about 350 kids to come to the VBS, it became evident that the hunger for our message was far greater than we expected as more than 510 children came to hear of God’s love and take home reminders of His good plans for them. Some of these children heard for the first time that God loves them and made a way for them to experience His love through Jesus, how He pursues them with His inexhaustible love, and how when Christ comes into their hearts they become kings and queens of Almighty God who would use them to change the world.
More than lessons that were taught, however, we were able to be instruments of love as we played football, threw the frisbee, drew pictures, sat and shared stories, and sang songs of worship to our God with our special friends.
The outpouring of God’s love you have been a part of through this journey has and will continue to have a huge impact on the children of Karansi, Tanzania, but even more exciting in the ripple effect as this message undoubtedly reached many homes throughout the village as the children went home with crowns to remind them of their royalty in Christ, scrolls of the Father’s Love Letter to them (www.fathersloveletter.com), and the artwork they created as they reflected on God’s goodness and gave thanks back to Him. We all felt this VBS had such an impact because it was not solely intended for the children of PUNCHMI, but nearly half of the kids were from the surrounding government and community schools. With this trip we have seen the expansion of Pastor Warieli’s vision to reach all the families of Karansi with the love of Christ.
Thank you for listening to the prompting of the Lord to pray for and support this journey and make it possible for us to bless the children. Though much love was sown in their heart and minds, we have also been blessed through this journey by seeing our Lord show Himself in countless ways and we had our hearts filled with love for these beautiful children and teachers.
In His Glory,
Scott and Tal Mosher

The excitement is growing as we are now only 9 days away from departure!
We had another productive meeting this weekend as we finalized our supply list, discussed transportation specifics, and our plans for grouping the kiddos for the different VBS activitites. We are finalizing our lessons and are just about ready to take off! Our in country contacts are inviting children from the PUNCHMI school (it is changing names to the Siha Leadership Academy) as well as children from the village who attend the public schools in the area. This might be the most exciting part of our trip for me (Scott) as these precious children will get to experience the love of our God in a way they perhaps have never experienced before.
This is also a potentially HUGE bridge into the community as the teachers of Siha Leadership Academy begin to extend their hands of outreach to their community. The Tanzanian government has requested that teachers from Siha Leadership Academy begin training the community\'s public schools teachers in the methods and practices we have been sharing for years as they want all the local schools to become proficient in providing a great education for all of the children of Karansi.
We are praying for the Lord to pour a wave of growth and innovative ideas in teaching to this community that will have a ripple effect throughout the country... this has always been Pastor Wariaeli\'s vision, and it seems as if the past 15 years have brought this village to this moment.
We also wanted to thank each and every one of you for all of your prayer and financial support. We have almost 75% of our funds raised and have felt a tremendous blessing as many of you have prayed for and supported this mission.

TWO WEEKS UNTIL DEPARTURE!
We had another productive meeting in which we discussed some of the details with the full-time missionaries David and Mary Anne Taylor. It was amazing to have them with us for many reasons. We disscused some of our teaching plans and talked about supply lists. It has been really cool to see how God is bringing this whole thing together.
We also wanted to thank each and every one of you for all of your support as we now have 70% of our funds raised, and for all of you who are supporting us in prayer.

Five Weeks to Tanzania!!!
Tal and I wanted to give an update on the planning for our VBS trip to Tanzania this June.
We had a great planning meeting with our team today to solidify the lessons we will be teaching through our VBS, and we discussed how this program could become more than just a VBS for the kiddos, but also used to make an impact on the fathers and mothers of the village of Karansi in future years. This could bring about a huge cultural shift and have a major impact on the community.
We are using the Father’s Love Letter (www.fathersloveletter.com) as the springboard for all of our lessons, and Tal and I will be using some verses to remind the children that as sons and daughters of God through Jesus they are Royalty! We will also combine this with the story of Esther to help them envision the role God has for them in the (RAPID!) transformation that is taking place in Tanzania (specifically in Karansi).
We rejoice that through so many of you the Lord has provided 43% of the resources Tal and I need for this journey, and we look forward to watching Him provide the remaining funds for this trip. Please follow the link below if you feel the Lord might be calling you to make a tax-deductible contribution to this mission.

Jambo Rafiki! (Hello Friend!)
I wanted to give a brief update about the progress our team has been making in preparation for our return journey to Tanzania in just eight weeks!
Our team has met several times and been able to communicate with David and Mary Anne Taylor, who are the in-country missionaries, and we have an exciting week of Bible lessons and crafts coming together. We will be focused on sharing God’s Free Gift of love through Jesus and how to walk in the Freedom He purchased for us in our everyday lives. We will have children from both the PUNCHMI School and the village attending – please be in prayer for hearts to encounter Jesus through our time there teaching and building relationships.
We will also work alongside our Tanzanian counterparts, one of my favorite opportunities, and one which can provide long-term impact well after we have left. With each lesson we teach, we will have a Tanzanian upper classman or teacher as a co-teacher! This is exciting because they could see how to plan an event for the community and how to have something like their own VBS classes – the idea of planning an event and working to bring it to fruition is not a culturally normal thing, so the opportunity here is great!
Please continue to be in prayer for our planning, for team unity, and for raising our support. We celebrate that the Lord has already provided 25% of the resources Tal and I need for this journey, and we look forward to watching Him provide all the funds for this trip. Please follow the link below if you feel the Lord might be calling you to contribute to this mission.
