Nov 8, 2018 - Nov 18, 2018

Our work continues in Tanzania Africa in the small village of Karansi and the greater district of Siha.

Since our medical mission trip in April/May of 2018, where we attended to the medical screenings and clinical medical attention of just over 300 children of Punchmi Christian academy and 300 adults of Karansi village, we have sent two teams from Morehouse college to provide those same medical screenings and clinics to the public schools of Karansi and the surrounding community, which attended to more than 2,000 persons of the community 1,800 of them children from the schools.

As a result we are working with the government of the Siha District of Tanzania to put plans in place to address the other fifty-two townships of Siha.... This five-pronged approach, which include ministering to the schools and people of Siha while circling back to continue medical screenings and care to those we have already seen so that a history of care and health can be captured.   Our program will also include a focus on best practices in the area obstetrics, infection prevention, surgical services, public health, and the build out of the Siha District’s healthcare infrastructures... We have come a long way in just six months....

On other fronts, we continue to experience great success within our other ministries such as, business and economic development, education literature & Reading, and family and community ministries.  All in all we have more than 20 trips planned for 2019 for the various ministry team to travel to Tanzania and continue our life on life, community to community, transformational work.

This next month in November we I am leading a team to the village of Karansi to off load a 40 foot container of 24,000 books sent two months ago for the opening of the first regional library, text books for the schools, and other books designed to begin the process of getting people interested in the stories books can tell, even if mostly in pictures. With literacy comes transformation of the individual; with proper nutrition and medical care comes brain function, health, and the ability to comprehend; combined with education born out of the ability to read and comprehend comes new insights and understanding which is shared with family thus sparking family transformation;  With family transformation comes community involvement and transformation; followed by interests in economic empowerment hence even more transformation...

I am heading a team of five people to lead and coordinate the offloading of these treasured books.... we will be joined by community means and fathers group is taking ownership of the project by helping us with the labor of moving these 24,000 books off of the container, which will be turned into a children’s library and reading corner with windows, doors and porch area, and the disbursement of the books to the main library Punchmi Christian Academy and other public schools of the township...

While there in Tanzania I will be meeting with the health officials of the Siha district to put the finishing touches on a five point Mutual Agreement of Understanding for the advancement of delivering health screenings and clinic service to the additional 80 townships, 52 schools, and various community residents; This mutual agreement of understanding to help the people of Siha will also pave the way for Key opinion leaders in U.S. Medical circles to partner with our Tanzanian parnters in health care to address the many issues in obstetrics, infection prevention and surgical services, our Best Practice Approaches formulated in the U.S. can hel them tackle more effectively...

Because this team has little time to raise the funds, which will allow them to be part of this trip, I am asking you for your support of the team to make the journey. Any donation you make on my behalf will go to the support of the team for this trip.   Any amounts up and above the amounts needed to sent this team will be added to trips I will be making in 2019 related to medical missions.

Any support donation will make a difference in the lives of children and peoples of Karansi Tanzania and to those who are traveling to be the hands and feet to serve them....

Thank you for your consideration and all the very best
