Dear Friends,

I have been blessed with the incredible opportunity to go on a mission trip to The Dominican Republic this summer - from June 16th-June 23rd. Through Perimeter Church’s global outreach program, we will be partnering with a non-profit organization called Water@Work, which works to supply water filtration systems to church plants in the Dominican Republic. Water@Work hopes to fix the DR’s dirty water problem in order to begin community revitalization, and through that, spread the gospel across the country.

I have never been on a mission trip before, but I am so excited to spread the word of God and to see Him work through me. First, we will be running a sort of “summer school” (VBS) for a couple of days, which will include devotionals, skits, and games, in order to spread the word of God to kids ages 5-20.  During the late afternoons, we will walk around in the communities and on the streets passing out water bottles, freedom lamps (because there is no electricity), and mosquito nets, and trying to share the gospel. Also, we will be going to a Batay (Haitian Ghetto), and setting up a VBS there to spread the gospel as well. Finally, we will be participating in a youth night with 4-5 other churches in the area, as well as reaching out to the youth through sports (baseball and basketball).

For this mission trip to be successful, we need prayer! If you are willing to pray for me, my team and the people of the Dominican Republic, I would be very grateful.
