I am excited to tell you that I get the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Tanzania with my church. We will be going from June 6 to June 16 and will be running a VBS in Karansi. It will provide meals for the kids as well as activities to teach them more about Christ. Many of the kids that we will be serving attend a partner school, PUNCHMI, to where I attend, Perimeter School. Over the years that I have been at Perimeter, I have gotten to be very familiar with PUNCHMI. Many people at my church and school sponsor kids there.

I was inspired to go on this trip by my grandparents, June and Rod Johns, and my best friend, Kacey Burgess, both who have been on mission trips to Tanzania several times. I am also super excited about the team I am going with as I know many of them well. This includes Kacey, her dad, who is the leader of this trip, my grandparents, Rod and June Johns, and several of my classmates from school.

I would like to ask for your help in two ways. First, and most importantly, for prayer for the team’s safe travels and our time there, that we would be able to minister to the kids in Tanzania and to respond well to what God is teaching me through this experience.
