Obituary For Ann
Ann Patricia Bauman of Norcross, GA went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2024. She was born and raised in southern California where she met her future husband Erich while working at an Optometry college in Fullerton. Soon after their marriage in 1983, Ann became a co-owner of their family vision care practice in Castle Rock, CO. Ann moved with Erich to Atlanta in 1989 and subsequently followed and faithfully supported him during various international assignments, living in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium before returning to the Atlanta area in 2004.
Ann and Erich divorced in 2010 and, in an amazing story of grace, they reconciled soon thereafter, having both come to faith in Christ Jesus through their involvement at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, GA.
Those who knew Ann readily perceived her tender, generous heart and the unselfish manner she displayed towards friends, family and neighbors. She cared little about earthly possessions and gave no thought to maintaining a social media persona, but rather treasured just being in the moment.
In her work career, Ann spent some thirteen years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she gained great satisfaction working with her colleagues while serving the public good. Away from work, Ann most loved spending quiet time with her beloved cats and traveling the mountainous backroads of southern Appalachia with Erich.
Ann is survived by her sister Suzanne Redding, brothers Jerry and Paul Ruatti, nieces Emily and Alexandra, nephews Ryan and Andrew, and Erich Bauman.
A celebration of life service for family and friends was held on October 17 at 11 am at the Perimeter Church chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Ann may be made to: Home Repair Ministries, PO Box 922194, Norcross, GA 30010, or donate online.
