William “Bill” Dixon Bryant, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on June 23, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on February 4, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, William lived a life rich with passion, purpose, and a deeply rooted commitment to his family and faith.

A graduate of University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, Bill dedicated his career to the packaging industry, ultimately enjoying a fulfilling retirement. He was married to his devoted wife, Julia Gretchen Bryant, for 55 wonderful years. Bill is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Steve Cook, and son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Lisa Bryant.

Bill embraced life with vigor, enjoying fitness, nutrition, and the great game of golf. He had a particular fondness for classic cars and was often seen at car shows, sharing his enthusiasm with fellow enthusiasts. His deep connection with his faith led him to be a dedicated member of Perimeter Church for 16 years, where he was known for his warm spirit and unwavering support of the community.

As a faithful husband and father, Bill cherished his time with his grandchildren: Matthew Bryant, William Cook, Alison Cook, Chris Holden, and Sydney Holden, showering them with love and wisdom that will resonate with them forever.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Rev. John Augustus Bryant; mother, Deborah Dixon Bryant; sister, Eleanor Lee Coffey; and brother, John Bryant. Bill spent his early childhood in Los Angeles, California where his father was the founding Vicar and Rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Westwood until his death when Bill was 11.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in William’s memory to Perimeter Church, supporting the community he loved so dearly.
