Obituary

Mrs. Carmen (Babe) Miranda, age 83, of Suwanee passed on to be with the Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021 with her family by her side. Celebration of Life will be on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Perimeter Church in Duluth, Georgia at 1:00 PM.

Babe was born February 8, 1938, to the late Abel Palma and Carmen Santiago in New York, NY. A member of Perimeter Christian Church in Duluth, she retired from Fellows Law Firm in New City, NY, where she was a paralegal.

Babe is survived by her husband of 64 years, Victor Miranda; daughters, Michele Hamilton, Victoria (Paul) Miranda and Laurie Melendez; 7 Grandchildren, Melissa (Alan) Graham, Tabi (Kesh) VanWagoner, Jessica (Omar) Kamal, Carol Hamilton, Lauren Hamilton, Jared (Katie) Melendez, Olivia Miranda; 9 Great Grandchildren, Mason VanWagoner, Camden VanWagoner, Brock Graham, Addison Graham, Kaylee VanWagoner, Ari VanWagoner, Amaya Kamal, and Charlotte Melendez; brothers, Peter (Barbara) Palma, Abel (Nancy) Palma, Jr., Arthur (Beth) Palma and David (Karen) Palma; and sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Gonzalez and Frances (Steve) Spencer.

She engaged in conversation with anyone, anywhere, at any time. If you knew Babe, you have been invited to her home multiple times. She had many interests including baking, reading, and writing. She loved words and would pause and dissect any that sparked interest. She loved collecting mini tea sets and kitchen gadgets. Babe’s perfect day would include a visit to an antique store, writing a personal note to a friend or family member, baking cookies and cakes to enjoy with family and friends, and ending the day with a chat with whoever came to her mind.
She was dearly loved by her brothers and sisters-in-law, family, and friends which included many assumed daughters and sons, but the one she loved the most that filled every space in her heart was… Jesus.
