Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35, 37-39 (ESV)

Dear family and friends,

Thank you for being here on this day, to celebrate the life of Everest Joy, our precious daughter. It is no small thing to show up here on this day, and to sit with us in this time and in this season.

It is a gift to us, to have your support. It has given us the courage co keep going.

It is a gift to us, to keep the memory of our daughter alive.

It is a gift to us, to share her impact on the two of us with each of you.

Everest changed our lives forever, and we know her short life will impact countless others as we carry her memory with us. She leaves behind a legacy of “strong and mighty joy,” remaining true co her name, as she rests in the arms of Jesus.

We are thankful to have a village surrounding us, as it will be a long journey ahead, and we ache for heaven to be able to hold her again. We thank the Lord for you. We love you.
