Obituary

Samuel “Mark” Guldenschuh, age 67, passed away on January 1, 2025, following a long, courageous battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease. Mark was born in Atlanta, Georgia. His family moved to Brandon, Florida, where they lived for ten years before returning to Georgia and settling in Stone Mountain. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Vawter Guldenschuh, and father-in-law, Edd Hill.

Mark is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tanya Hill Guldenschuh; children Samuel Grant Guldenschuh (Avery) and Grayson Hill Guldenschuh (Kianna); mother-in-law, Jalanie Poole Hill; brothers Greg Guldenschuh (Linda), Joel Guldenschuh and Paul Guldenschuh; granddaughter, Palmer Guldenschuh; brother-in-law, Shannon Hill (Terri) as well as several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life for Mark Guldenschuh (Tanya), both members, will be Thursday, January 9, at 11:00 am in the Day Chapel, with a reception following in the Ministry Center.
