Obituary
Peggy Ridout Kladke passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, GA at the age of 87. Peggy was born on April 24, 1937, in Bracey, VA to Ishmael and Mozelle Ridout. She and her family moved to Raleigh, NC where she was raised and lived until she moved to Dunwoody, GA in 1980.
She is survived by her two sons, Bryant Gresham (Alex) and Brad Gresham (Traci); two granddaughters, Elizabeth Williams (Matthew) and Grace Gresham; three step-grandchildren, Taylor Cain (Sarah), Kayla Sheffield (Ashton) and Payton Cain; three great grandchildren, Hutch Williams, Hattie Williams and Justin Santiago; two step-great grandchildren, Eli Sheffield and Hayden Sheffield. She is also survived by her brother Benny Ridout and sister Carol Lovette along with countless other relatives and friends.
Peggy was proceeded in death by her parents, her wonderfully devoted husband William Kladke, her brother Linwood Ridout and sister Faye Bruton.
She graduated from Needham Broughton High School and attended Peace College in Raleigh. Her career history was largely focused on administration, account development and customer service before retiring and opening a catering business in the Atlanta area.
Peggy’s hobbies included reading, Bible study, and playing Bridge with her friends. She loved cooking and spending time in the kitchen, which her family and friends benefited from on a regular basis. She also loved the beach and enjoyed her many trips to Cherry Grove, SC.
Peggy was a dedicated member of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, GA for over 25 years where her faith and fellowship were an integral part of her life. She was devoted to her Lord, her church, her family, and her friends.
