Thriving as an Introvert in Your Career

Wednesday, January 19, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Midtown Auditorium

With over 15 years of experience in career counseling and coaching, this month’s speaker Jill Forest will discuss our innate qualities and strengths, distinct from interests, personality, and skills. Jill will elaborate on what introverts bring to the workplace and how best they can be valued.

Meeting ID: 852 6745 9403

More about guest speaker Jill Forest:

Jill is passionate about her work and strongly believes in the words of Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece, he has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Currently, she works for the IMPACT Group, a woman-owned business that provides career coaching, relocation, and leadership development services.  As a Career Coach, she provides career support to accompanying spouses who are seeking jobs in their new cities.  She also is the lead for the DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion) Committee which provides the company’s coaches with information, support, and training.

Prior to her role at the IMPACT Group, she worked in Higher Education as an Associate Director where she managed large semi-annual career fairs and conducted numerous career-related workshops.  She also created specialized outreach career services to the university’s international student population.

As an introvert, she enjoys dispelling myths and misunderstandings about introverts as well as encouraging introverts to appreciate their many contributions to the workplace.  As part of that effort, she researched and has presented “Thriving as an Introvert in Your Career “at various career venues.

Jill attended Ohio State University where she majored in Psychology and minored in History. She later attended Argosy University where she earned her master’s degree in Psychology with a specialty in Counseling.
