HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • FOOD DONATIONS

    The following food items are the most need items by all co-ops serving Gwinnett, Fulton, and Forsyth Counties. You can drop them off directly at a co-op near you (scroll down to see a full list of co-ops): 

    - Canned Meat
    - Pasta Sauce
    - Chunky Soup
    - Peanut Butter
    - Meals in a can (Chef Boyardee)
    - Jelly
    - Cereal
    - Mac n Cheese
    - Canned Veggies
    - Canned Fruit

  • OUR LOCAL CO-OPS

    Scroll to the bottom of this page for information about the co-ops near you. Check their websites for donation hours, volunteer opportunities, and services available.

  • WHAT TO EXPECT IF YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING

    - Co-ops have implemented social distancing and sanitation protocols
    - Most Volunteer opportunities do not require contact or serving in roles working directly with the public. Roles include:
           -- Data entry
           -- Sorting Donations
           -- Making copies
           -- Directing traffic/crowd flow (from 6ft or more)
           -- Assembling food bags 
    - Shoppers – We are in need of people willing to shop for most needed items. In most cases reimbursement is possible, your willingness and patience to shop is needed. To be a Volunteer Shopper, please contact Jackie Dieter at jackied@perimeter.org You will be assigned to a co-op closest to you and provided with the critical shopping list for that day.

  • FINANCIAL AND GIFT CARD DONATIONS

    Many of you are aware that the recovery from this crisis is long term. Please consider a financial donation to our nonprofits to help them assist others over the long term. Gift cards for personal care items, infant necessities, etc. are needed as well.
    Norcross Coop (Serving residents of Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Doraville, and Tucker of Gwinnett County)- 
    - Duluth Hands of Christ (Serving anyone living in the 30096 or 30097 zip codes)
    North Gwinnett Coop (Serving Residents in zip codes 30515, 30519, 30518, 30024, 30011, 30517, and 30548)
    North Fulton Community Charities all volunteer opportunities suspended (Must apply for services online and must be a resident in the following zip codes 30004, 30005, 30009, 30022, 30024, 30075, 30076, 30092, and 30097)
    Meals by Grace/Fill Ministries (Forsyth County; check website for all delivery and pick up locations in Forsyth)
    The Place of Forsyth County (Must live in Forsyth to be served)

  • CDC RECOMMENDS WEARING A FACEMASK WHEN YOU GO OUT

    Use these instructions to make a face covering to wear when you volunteer.

    Also, Emory Johns Creek Hospital reached out to a Perimeter staff member to ask our members to help sew face masks for the hospital staff. If you're able to help out, please drop them off directly at Emory Johns Creek Hospital physician’s plaza entrance, or contact womensministry@perimeter.org.
