Our Hope in Suffering
Suffering can leave us searching for words—and wondering how to hold on to hope when life still hurts. In this episode of Digging Deeper: The Hope of What’s to Come, Jeff Norris and Laura Story Elvington welcome back theologian and author Kelly Kapic to explore how lament helps us bring our whole selves to God. Drawing from his family’s experience with chronic pain and his coauthored book, When the Journey Hurts, Kelly shares how grief and gratitude can coexist, why God welcomes our honest prayers, and how Christ’s resurrection assures us that suffering will not have the final word.
