Chip Sweney is the Executive Director and Pastor of the Greater Atlanta Transformation division of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, GA. He oversees the ministry that Perimeter is doing externally, outside the four walls of the church in greater Atlanta. He has been one of the pastors at Perimeter for over 28 years.

Chip is the co-founder and was the director of Unite for 17 years, a collaborative movement of churches in Atlanta seeking kingdom flourishing in our communities. Chip is also one of the founders for Street GRACE, an alliance of churches in Atlanta that are working together with the public and private sector to disrupt and prevent the sexual exploitation of children.

Chip graduated from Duke University and received his MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is ordained in the PCA denomination. His book, “A New Kind of Big: How Churches of Any Size Can Partner to Transform Communities” was released in January of 2011.

Chip has been married to his wonderful wife, Leigh Ann, for 34 years and they have two children: daughter Caroline, married to Zach; and son Jack.
