Grieving During the Holidays
You Are Not Alone
Christmas is a time when those who are no longer with us are especially missed. We grieve as a church with those who have lost a loved one and would like to come alongside you. Below are some opportunities throughout the holiday season.
Remembrance Tree
On December 1, Perimeter will place a Remembrance Tree outside of the Chapel entrance as a special way to remember your loved one during the holiday season. We will remember your loved one during the Chapel service on December 14.
What will make this tree special?
We will provide ornaments personalized with the name of your loved one. The Funeral ministry will also place pictures on the tree in memory of the loved ones from our covenant family whose funerals were held at Perimeter this year (2025). Families of these members are welcome to reserve an ornament.
We have reserved 150 ornaments, so quantities are limited. Registration for an ornament will close on November 24. No donation is required to participate! It is our gift to you as we celebrate and remember together with you. You will be able to take an ornament home to place on your tree following that day’s service.
How do I participate?
- Request your ornament by November 24.
- The Funeral Ministry will personalize your ornament with your loved one’s name and hang it on the tree.
- Join the Chapel service on December 14 at 10:45 am for a prayer for you in grieving your loved one.
- Pick up your ornament following the December 14 service to enjoy on your home tree.
