Forward in Faith | Summer 2025

In April, a team from Perimeter traveled to India to serve with our longtime ministry partner, Dinbandhu (Friends of the Poor). When ministry leader Nitin Sardar learned that a nearby leper colony had lost funding and lacked clean water, Dinbandu offered to help.

They funded and drilled two wells. One was in a dry, barren area on the property to bring life and beauty through new vegetation. The other was installed near the housing to provide daily access to clean water.

The colony’s director was deeply moved. “Who are you people?” he kept asking, surprised and overwhelmed by the compassion shown to those considered outcasts and the “lowest of the low” in India.

At the well dedication, the team prayed with him over the new wells.

When it came time to cut the ribbon, Perimeter member Simon Cole, was asked to join the director in the ceremony. “They said, ‘Simon, why don’t you and the director lean down and cut the ribbon together?’” Simon recalled, “And as we did, I saw tears in his eyes—just from the simple act of me bending down beside him and holding his hand.”
