Hey families!
I hope you had a fun and restful summer. With the demands of the school calendar inching closer and closer, I’m feeling equal parts concerned and excited for my family and yours.
I’m concerned about busyness. As we aim to disciple our children well, I encourage you to carve out some empty space in their schedule. The demands of their schoolwork, sports, and other extracurriculars will grab every minute that you don’t intentionally set aside for them. Let’s love them well by protecting their time. If we don’t, no one else will.
So, I’m concerned about busyness, but I’m excited about the growth that God is planning for us and our children. Challenging assignments and difficult relationships present incredible opportunities for us to walk alongside them with patient reassurance. There’s a good reason Romans 8:28 is one of the most memorized verses in the Bible. It assures us that when we are going through something hard, God is up to something good.
Will you join me in opposing busyness and embracing growth this fall? Thank you for the privilege of ministering to your family. Please never hesitate to reach out to me for anything.
For the kingdom,
Ryan Carson
