Launching into a New School Year

Perimeter Students

Student Ministries Pastoral Letter | August 2025

Dear Student Families,

August has a funny way of sneaking up on us. One moment we’re soaking in summer sun, the next we’re scanning school supply lists and syncing calendars. But as the pace shifts and backpacks reappear, we’re reminded that every new season is a fresh opportunity to see God at work in new and unexpected ways.

Rush has come and gone, and we come out of this summer with pockets full of God-stories, moments of transformation, worship, laughter, and unexpected grace. From Braves games to Bible studies, from quiet prayer to bold student leadership, we’ve seen God move in powerful and personal ways. We’re entering this school year not empty, but filled with gratitude, with testimony, and with renewed purpose.

Whether this summer brought stillness or adventure, we hope you’ve sensed the nearness of God through it all. And as we approach this new academic year, our prayer is that every student and family would feel rooted in the love of Christ and confident in His presence through all that lies ahead.

This August, we’re launching something new and exciting for our middle and high school students. On Sunday mornings, we’re creating intentional equipping environments designed not just to teach, but to form disciples. These gatherings will be centered on connection, Scripture, and spiritual formation, meeting students where they are and helping them walk more deeply with Jesus.

We’re not just trying something different. We’re trusting God to do something deeper.

We believe this season holds immense promise. We can’t wait to see students laughing together, opening God’s Word in community, asking big questions, and growing in grace.

Psalm 90:17: “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands.”

May this year be one of deep roots, flourishing families, and lasting fruit.
