Student Ministries Pastoral Letter | May 2026
Dear Parents,
As we look ahead to this fall, we’re excited about what’s taking shape in Student Ministry and the opportunities ahead for your students. No matter where your student is in their spiritual journey, we’re here to help them navigate their next steps of faith. From weekly gatherings and small groups to special worship nights and incredible retreats, there are a ton of opportunities to connect and grow.
Weekly Gatherings
I’d love to highlight just a few of those environments to help you plan and pray toward your involvement beginning this fall. Our high school ministry will meet Wednesday nights at 7 pm, and our middle school ministry will continue to meet Sunday mornings at 9 am. These environments are built for fun and fellowship as we explore the hope we have in Jesus. Come as you are and bring a friend!
Discipleship Groups
Sunday nights are for discipleship groups. These groups will meet for 60-90 minutes to challenge and encourage one another in their walk of faith. Each group will have two highly qualified adult leaders that have completed a thorough assessment with our Student Ministries team. You can count on them to be solid in their faith, winsome in their approach, and passionate about helping students walk more closely with Jesus.
Please note, however, that these groups are not for everyone. They are for those who want to grow in their walk with Jesus and can commit their Sunday nights to that end. As such, we’re asking that students be the ones to complete the Interest Form—not parents. You are encouraged to assist them, but please do not complete the form on their behalf.
Summer Envisioning Opportunity
To learn more about all the upcoming plans, please join us on June 7, 14, or 21, at 9 am in the Shed. These are offered on three consecutive Sundays because we know your summer can get hectic. There’s no need to attend more than one. We will cover the details for the entire ministry year, answer your questions, and pray together for the Lord to do great things in the lives of our students.
We’re grateful for your family and look forward to what’s ahead.
for the Kingdom,
Ryan Carson
