Student Ministries Pastoral Letter | March 2026
“Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples…’” (Matthew 28:18–20).
We are who we are, partners in the gospel ministry, because faithful believers took these words seriously and passed the faith from one generation to the next. That calling remains the heart of everything we do in Student Ministry.
This past year has been hard – and good. It exposed weaknesses, disrupted trusted rhythms, and asked all of us to examine our expectations and responsibilities. Through it all, the Lord has been faithful. He has humbled us, clarified our priorities, and deepened our commitment to building a discipleship pathway that helps students know Jesus and follow Him faithfully.
For months, our team has been prayerfully developing a refreshed plan for student discipleship, and we are excited to share it with you! To connect clearly and directly with every family, we’re putting together a video that will communicate all the exciting details. Look for that video in your inbox on or before March 16, just two weeks from today.
You’ll notice that the March 15 in-person relaunch gathering is no longer part of the plan. We know changes like this can raise questions, and we want you to know this decision was made with you in mind. In the interest of connecting more personally, we hope you’ll make time this June to gather with us for envisioning and prayer.
Summer Envisioning and Prayer
Join us in the Shed at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings, June 7, 14, or 21, to hear more about Student Ministry in 2026-27, and to pray together that the Lord would do amazing things in and through our students. We’re hosting it on three Sundays to make it easy for you to attend at least one.
And please hear this clearly: I am never too busy for you. Student Ministry is not a program we run – it is a partnership we share. If you’d like to talk, ask questions, or pray together, I would count it a privilege to meet over coffee or lunch. You can reach me anytime at ryanc@perimeter.org or 404-444-0086.
We do not take lightly the privilege of walking alongside your family in these formative years. We are grateful to be on this mission with you, trusting together in the Lord’s kindness and leadership. Thank you for your patience, your prayers, and your continued partnership.
for the Kingdom,
Ryan Carson
